Blue Fescue
Festuca glauca
Festuca glauca, also called blue fescue or sheep fescue, is a cool-season ornamental grass that fares best in full-sun areas that tend to have little rainfall. The blue-green foliage grows to approximately 10 inches tall. Plant Festuca glauca in well-drained soil during the fall. The grass can be used as a ground cover or accent plant and is pleasing in combination with stonework. This plant is one of the “no fuss” plants perfect for the low maintenance garden.
Uses: Accent plant for borders, rockeries or even containers
